As the new pre-season approaches the recruitment drive is in full swing, and not only regarding the players. With the Head Coach installed for the next year he has already appointed a number of names to his team including those of Defensive Co-Ordinator Nigel Williamson and Offensive Co-Ordinator Chris Chillingworth.

However, in addition to these appointments Coach Rogers has also brought in a number of new faces. Clive Raines, Adam Tiffin and Steve Cox all being appointed members of the coaching team this season.

Raines and Tiffin are both familiar names to the club as members of the playing team. Raines begins this year focusing on coaching the sport rather than playing the sport and joins Adam Tiffin who continues to work on his recovery from a long injury which has kept him away from playing, choosing to assist the club in a coaching capacity. Both will join the club as Coaching Assistants.

In addition the club is delighted to announce the appointment of Steve Cox, a former Offensive Lineman coach at Hertfordshire Cheetahs. Steve has both playing and coaching experience, carries a BAFA Level 1 Certificate and following a meeting with the Head Coach and OC today is particularly excited to meet the linemen and get started on the new season.

The Hastings Conquerors get together for the first time this Sunday at Battle Sports 3G, Claverham College for their first Rookie Day of the pre-season. Training begins at 11:00am and we ask all players to bring fluids for hydration and footwear suitable for 3G astro.
